72 sites, 228k pages in Google, $1,238 paid out.
Every US pay per call site we built on Local Sites Pro this year: 34 single-city sites, 32 nationwide sites and 6 state sites. 55 of the 72 went live after Aug 26, so this is a read on the first 3 to 4 weeks. It shows what indexes, what rings, and what pays.
By Abhishek Sood · Data: May 26 to Sep 22, 2026 · Published 2026-09-24Between May and September 2026 we built 72 pay per call websites with Local Sites Pro. Google indexed 228,413 of their pages, the sites took 347 tracked calls, buyers paid for 21 of those calls, and the payout to date is $1,238. Most sites were under four weeks old when we measured. Individual results vary.
65% of the investment back in month one.
51 of the 72 sites were one batch: built by an AI agent through the Local Sites Pro MCP, on expired domains of former local businesses, between Aug 26 and Sep 4, 2026. This is what that batch cost and what it paid in its first four weeks.
Investment vs payout
- 51 domains, about $10.46 each
- $533
- Local Sites Pro, Pro plan, 1 year
- $119
- Hosting (your own Cloudflare)
- $0
- Tracking numbers and call software (from the network)
- $0
- Buyer payouts, first 4 weeks
- +$422
At this pace the batch pays for itself in about 7 weeks. After that, running costs are about $54 a month for all 51 sites.
Margin once it is paid back
After payback, 87 cents of each dollar is profit, even at month-one income. Costs do not grow as calls grow.
- Nationwide sites$373
- City sites$49
Nationwide sites earned 88% of month one. The batch took 255 calls, 19 of them paid, and had 166,314 pages indexed in about 3 weeks.
Scope: the 51-site batch only, payouts through Sep 24, 2026. The other 21 sites in this study, including the Fairfax water damage site, were built separately and are not in these figures. Running cost is domain renewals plus the Pro plan, spread over 12 months. Individual results vary, and past results do not guarantee future earnings.
142 calls rang and never reached a buyer.
The batch's city sites took 151 calls in month one, but only 9 connected. The traffic was there. What was missing was a buyer covering those zip codes at that moment. The fix is to check buyer coverage before picking the city.
What the missed calls could have paid
Unconnected calls × our network's average conversion rate × average payout per converted call. An estimate, not money received.
- Plumbing$1,60991 calls
- Water damage$1,14221 calls
- HVAC$37118 calls
- Roofing$1628 calls
- Electrical$554 calls
City sites actually paid $49 in month one. With buyer coverage, the same calls were worth about $3,338.
What one call is worth to the business
Median job value quoted in our transcribed converted calls, next to what we were paid per converted call.
- Water damage$2,500we were paid about $121 per converted call
- Roofing$850we were paid about $42
- Mold$614we were paid about $45
- Plumbing$225we were paid about $30
- HVAC$125we were paid about $34
That gap between job value and payout is the room for rank and rent once a site's call log proves demand.
Local vs nationwide pay per call sites.
The median nationwide site has about 200 times the indexed pages of the median local site, and nationwide calls got paid five times as often. Local sites took more calls and more money, but most of that came from one water damage site in Fairfax, VA.

What we are doing next.
Build nationwide first
The median nationwide site has 200 times the indexed pages of a local one, and its calls get paid 5 times as often. Local builds are only worth doing for high-ticket emergency niches like water damage.
One buyer intent per site
Split every niche into narrow sub-intents, cluster about 5 sites per niche, and hand-write the content. Broad umbrella sites are the ones that slipped.
Fix the local call leak
Local calls are there but buyers are not paying for them. Check call routing and campaign fit on the plumbing and septic numbers before building more city sites.

How the numbers were pulled
- Sites: every US site built on Local Sites Pro (city builder plus the nationwide and state engine) from May 26 to Sep 22, 2026. Test sites are excluded.
- Indexed pages: Local Sites Pro's weekly Google site: check, last run Sep 6 to 20. Week change compares it with the previous check.
- Calls and payout: Launchpad call tracking (Ringba), last 365 days. Payout is what buyers actually paid, not the publisher incentive. Paid means the buyer accepted and paid for the call.
- Investment and ROI: the 51 sites built by an AI agent through the Local Sites Pro MCP, Aug 26 to Sep 4, 2026. Purchase dates come from the domain registry, and calls and payouts from our call tracking through Sep 24, 2026.
- Missed-call value: 142 unconnected calls × our network's average conversion rate and payout per niche. It is an estimate of what coverage could have paid, not money received.
- Job values: the median job value quoted in our transcribed converted calls, next to our average payout per converted call in the same niche.
- Gaps: 3 sites have no tracking number registered. Most new sites are deliberately not connected to Search Console, so clicks and impressions exist only for the older builds.
These are our own sites and our own numbers. Individual results vary, and Local Sites Pro does not promise rankings or income. If you want the model explained first, read what is pay per call or see how the pay per call website builder works.
Questions about this case study.
How much did the 72 pay per call sites earn?
Buyers paid $1,238 for 21 calls across 11 sites. Most of the sites were under four weeks old when the data was pulled on Sep 24, 2026.
What was the return on investment?
The 51-site batch cost $652: $533 for domains and $119 for the Pro plan. It paid $422 in its first four weeks, which is 65% of the investment, and at that pace pays itself back in about 7 weeks. Individual results vary.
What does it cost to run the sites?
About $54 a month for all 51 sites, which is domain renewals plus the Pro plan spread over the year. Hosting is $0 on Cloudflare and the network supplies the tracking numbers.
Which pay per call niche paid the most?
Water damage. One local water damage site in Fairfax, VA earned $877.52 from 4 paid calls within 12 days of launch, which is 71% of all payout in the study.
Why were so few calls paid?
A call is only paid when a buyer accepts it. Many local calls did not qualify or had no buyer covering that area at that time, so 246 local calls produced 7 paid calls.
Is this a rank and rent case study too?
Not yet. These sites sell calls through pay per call networks. The call logs are what we would use later to rent a site to a local business.
Will my sites get the same results?
No one can promise that. Results depend on the niche, the city, the domain and buyer coverage. Individual results vary.
